Defending the rights of children

Projeto Legal is a Brazilian non-governmental, human rights organisation working for the promotion and defense of human rights, especially those of children, adolescents and youth.

Their focus is the legal and psycho-social care of citizens who have experienced rights violations. Their interdisciplinary team handles the particularities of each individual case and works to keep citizens’ ownership of their rights.

They aim to contribute to the development of a more humane, just and democratic society, by both direct implementation of programmes and projects, as well as through influencing decision-makers and advocating for policy and practice changes at national and local levels. Projeto Legal:

  • Focuses on the legal and psycho-social care of children;
  • Uses a wide range of disciplines to better address children’s diverse needs.

This is Family for Every Child

Family for Every Child has 19 organisations from 18 countries across the world united by a common vision of a world where every child can grow up in a permanent, safe and caring family.

The murder of two teenagers earlier this month ... is the embodiment of the certainty of impunity and of the social vulnerability that thousands of children, adolescents, especially those that are black, impoverished and criminalised have to face.
